I find that Atom is not compatible with my Ubuntu 18.04 OS. A package naming conflict means I must chose between my speakers working, or having an Atom installation. The details are in my last posting in this thread of mine here:

> When I attempt to install Atom in Ubuntu 18.04 I an error: $ sudo apt-get install /home/stephen/Downloads/Atom.io/atom-amd64.deb Reading package lists… Done Building dependency tree Reading state information… Done Note, selecting ‘atom’ instead...

It has been six days since then and no solution or work around has been suggested. So now I am looking for alternatives to Atom for editing HTML along side Pinegrow and getting my files uploaded.

I would appreciate any suggestions for a work around that would allow me a functioning audio system, or alternatives to Atom.

An alternative (for Atom) could be maybe **Visual Studio Code** ,
there is also a Pinegrow extension/plugin available for this editor (VS Code).
