# Cannot add a dropdown link to an existing navbar

re: PG v5.99.1

I’m trying to add a dropdown link to a navbar on an existing website but the dropdown’s links do not show (if I create a new page on this site and add a navbar, its included dropdown links do display). What could be causing this?

I’m at a loss to figure out what’s causing this issue.

Did you copy an existing page with a working dropdown? JavaScript link missing add the bottom like bootstrap.js ?

I haven’t posted the site to a public site yet - I’m working on my localhost.  
These scripts are on the existing page that won’t work:

The links look OK! Just be sure that bootstrap.min.js and jQuery is there.  
This is a Bootstrap 4 dropdown on one of my websites just copy paste it to see if it works:

```auto

            <a href="#" class="dropdown-toggle" data-toggle="dropdown" role="button" aria-haspopup="true" aria-expanded="false">Wij <span class="caret"></span></a>
            <ul class="dropdown-menu">

              <li><a href="conditions">Conditions</a></li>

No errors… just a color change when I click on the dropdown but no dropdown links display 😪

Did you try to copy paste my drop down example to rule out that you have a error in the HTML?

Here a whole menu:

No luck using your code @AllMediaLab… and I do have the js and jQuery scripts on the page. I’ve posted a test page at: [indyplacesc.com](https://indyplacesc.com/nav-test.html) that has the errant dropdown [Home Page] for you to look at.  
I really appreciated your help, BTW.

OK I found it!  
remove this code from the middle of your page underneath the Google calendar and it should work again (double links!!!):

Underneath this part:

```auto

```

REMOVE THIS PART!

```auto
