# FSE themes, where does pinegrow stand?

I believe there was talk about creating some kind of theme.json editor/creator?

If PG is really not going to provide functionality for FSE I hope they at [least give us control over what is put into the functions.php](https://forum.pinegrow.com/t/control-over-functions-php/8423) file so we don’t have unneeded functions running that were put there for the legacy themes.
