# How to add link for user to send text message?

Hello. New user here. I’m overjoyed that I’ve found a program in which I can edit my website which was originally created in the now discontinued Adobe Muse! One thing I want to add to my website is a phone number for my customers to text me. If I add this number to the page, when a user clicks on it, it opens up the phone app and not the text messages app. I tried searching both this forum and Google to see how this fix this, but came up empty. Can someone tell me how to have a phone number on a webpage that opens up the text messenger app when clicked?

I found the answer. In the “href” field for the link, change “tel” to “sms.”
