# How to control background color in the NavBar

I must be missing something because when I tried this, selecting background color or text color (or anything else) from the Element Properties panel did not work nor is there any GUI offering customization of the navbar. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong or how to proceed?

Ah, sorry @randyrie - I misunderstood what you were requesting. I thought that you meant just the HTML code for the navbar, not the styling.
