# $ in text will create an error if you make it a customizer field

Hi,

Using a $ in text will create a PHP error on the front-end if you make it a customizer field. Workaround is editing in HTML and adding a HTML Dollar Code `&#36;` directly in the HTML. But would be nice to be able to just type it into the visual editor.
