# Performance grade C

I was hoping PG starter theme would receive a better rating then a C, partly because from what I’ve read about it is that it’s optimized and conforms to WP standards. I had a chance to test out the [starter theme](https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/4Ctya/http://www.starter.batsteek.fr/) using Pingdom (connecting to New York). Anyways, just thought I would share my findings. I haven’t purchased it yet and am hesitant at this point. But hope there’s ways to improve the starter theme performance because I would really like to use it.

Hello,  
If you already have WordPress knowledge, the Starter Theme maybe not the best solution for you.

As for the benchmark, peering, plugins, content … so much reasons to see a difference.  
The results from NY are not the same as the ones from Stockolm and so on …
