Here’s what may be a really dumb question. When I add a file, say a jpg or html file to a folder for web project I am working on, the only way I can figure out how to refresh the file list in my PineGrow project display is to shut down PineGrow and then start it up again. Is there some simple way to refresh the list? I know I must be missing something, but can’t figure out what it is…

Hey @Fred,

You can tell Pinegrow to refresh/reload project assets in the project panel, its not so obvious, or initially easy to find in the docs, but there is a brief reference here, probably other places too.

> **[Other code editors and IDEs | Pinegrow Web Editor](https://pinegrow.com/docs/master-pinegrow/using-external-code-editors/other-code-editors-and-ides/#created-moved-and-deleted-files)**

> Pinegrow can be used with any external code editor. It detects when a file is saved outside of Pinegrow and then refreshes modified parts.

Thanks! Glad to know it wasn’t obvious! :- )

There is also a refresh button in top bar which I think does the same thing.

As I understand it, that just refreshes the page view, but not the project files that have changed.

That’s my sense of it, too.
