# Request ability to hide PG/BS or specific folders from PROJECT view (existing feature)

I think it would be a great feature to add the ability to hide/show folders in the project view, to help declutter and hide folders we don’t want to interfere with whilst building / maintaining a site.

e.g.

I have these folders that I don’t need to see in my project view (except perhaps in a 0.1% of the time when I need to alter something core).

screenshots  
previews  
pgia  
bootstrap\_theme  
bootstrap  
\_pginfo  
\_pgbackup

So hiding them, whilst not obviously removing them would be helpful.

Turns out Pinegrow actually has a feature that does exactly what you want 😛

Ha, I’d already looked and read that setting but it wasn’t clear that ‘ignoring’ was the same as ‘hiding’ as I’d feared that marking them as ‘ignored’ would cause issues with publishing or moving my project to another drive.

Again, it’s a UX issue that whilst I’m gratified that this is possible, it’s not obvious or user-friendly to access.

But thanks for letting me know, I’ll try it out now.
