# \[solved\] Pinegrow window does not close

When I either click on File/Quit or “X” to close the window Pinegrow shows the message but does not close - the window keeps being open. I run it on Linux (Fedora) x86\_64 workstation.

Is it the first time you install Pinegrow on this system?
Can you please start the app from the console and check for the possible error messages? (see [Install Pinegrow on Linux | Pinegrow Web Editor](https://pinegrow.com/docs/getting-started/install-and-run-pinegrow/install-pinegrow-on-ubuntu-linux/#run-pinegrow-from-command-line))

I started it from the Command Line (MacOS) and got;
rhore@Mac-Studio MacOS % ./nwjs

objc[25411]: Class WebSwapCGLLayer is implemented in both /System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/WebCore.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/libANGLE-shared.dylib (0x237605660) and /Applications/Pinegrow.app/Contents/Frameworks/nwjs Framework.framework/Versions/107.0.5304.68/Libraries/libGLESv2.dylib (0x1083c4230). One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

It does not close but seems to be stopping the internal web browser as I can no longer open pages to edit them/

I have the same problem on Windows 11 with Pinegrow 7.9. When closing it by pressing X or by File/Quit the message about “shutting down see you soon” comes up but the window remains open and active. I have to go to Task Manager and end the process.

@Russ @zahidaziz @adamslowe We asked the Christmas elves to magically fix things, and if you restart Pinegrow now, the problem should be resolved.
Apologies for this temporary hiccup. The elves might have been playing with the code while sipping hot cocoa! 🎅
