# Style.css Author information

Hello,

I’ve recently started using pinegrow in order to generate a WordPress theme. I’m a web designer so I didn’t want to bother too much with the back-end. I came across something that I wanted to check if it’s possible to change

Currently the exported theme has empty author information, on every export with pinegrow this will get reset to default. I haven’t found a way anywhere in Pinegrow directly to edit this without it being overwritten.

Anyone had a similar issue?

Could be this. It depends on where you have your `style.css` file(s) (source folder and/or theme folder), and also to which `style.css` file you add the author (and other info) to.

Oh okay that simple just add the one to the style.css before export. Not quite obvious but works like a charm.

I’ve run into that too—Pinegrow tends to reset the author info on export. One workaround is to edit the style.css file in your WP theme after export, and then keep a note to reapply if you regenerate.

@Zahra this issue should be fixed for a while now. Header values in style.css in the source project should be preserved on export. Can you please provide more details / screenshots?
