There are various methods you can find on the web, but in my example theme you will notice that the link to the author’s archive is hardcoded in the template. In your nav menu, you could also make a custom link item with the path to your archive (which would be a category, an author, a date) or, simply, if you decide to make a page template, you link to the page that uses this template.
