After Sidebar Action I get "Your theme has 1 widget area, but this particular page doesn’t display it." message

Hello,
I registered Sidebar, but cant access it from the page … I get …

“Your theme has 1 widget area, but this particular page doesn’t display it.”

… message from WP/appearance/customize/widget menu.

Any suggestions why?

Hi @veras,
There can be a number of different reasons for that message. What version of WordPress are you running? Does it give the message for all templates? Is this message coming from the customizer on the front end, or in the dashboard?
Thanks,
Bob

Thank you Bob,
Latest WP, message from the front end.
I tried placing sidebar on another page … same story.

This is the PHP code as seen from PineGrow:

cheers,K

Hi @veras,
Based on the code that you are showing, I’m assuming that you are using the global smart action for both registering and displaying the sidebar. Can you try using only lower case letters in the id? So ‘kontakt’ not ‘Kontakt’ and see if that makes a difference. I can’t find anything in the codex, but the sidebar fails for me with a capital. The sidebar name should be fine with upper or lower case.
Let me know,
Bob

Thank you. It works. Should have think of that, but rather spent 2 hours tinkering
