Issue with Preview

Hi,

For some reason I’m having problems with Preview. I’ve set Montserrat as a system font in the design panel and all text I add on a page appears as it should. However, if I click to preview a page in a browser, all the text is shown in an entirely different font. If I deploy the website on Cloudflare and view it live, the text is also not Montserrat. I’ve never had this happen to me before. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bruce

hint: It might be helpful to check out the live site so we can look at the code.

Hi @Emmanuel The live website is https://companywebsite-9dd.pages.dev. It’s just an experimental one at the moment.

The home page is all ok but the business coaching page is the one that’s causing a problem. It’s probably a beginner mistake that I’m making. Thanks very much for your help.

Looking really quickly, the first difference I notice between the main page and this page is that the font reference is missing from the head section.

Thanks for taking a look @Emmanuel Yes, I can see what you mean. There’s no reference to the font in the head section of the Business Coaching page. When I started building the site, I went to the Design Panel and added Montserrat as a system font. Then I selected that font as Regular Text for the site. I just assumed that each new page would inherit this font. When I add text to a page, Montserrat is used, but when I preview a page another font is shown. I’ve just tried changing the system font to Arial in the Design Panel, changing Regular Text to Arial and the changes are immediately applied to all elements of the home page. But the text does not then change to Arial on the Business Coaching page. The situation is not helped when if you select an element that contains text and view the Style Panel, it doesn’t confirm what font is being used.

Thanks

Bruce
