CSS Issue when loading a Bootstrap 5 template

Hi,

Just tried to save a landings page from the Bootstrap 5 templates and as soon as I save the project in a folder the links get broken from the CSS. What ever I do nothing helps. Can somebody from Pinegrow staff check this? It is on Mac intel Sequoia 15.6.1 (if neccesery I can upgrade to the latest OS but…). I can replicate this on 2 different Macs.

I load the template and all looks fine.

I save the project to a folder.

And all CSS links are broken no matter what I do “./ ../ ../../” etc. etc.

When I close the page and reopen the links restore! But it still a bug!

Regards,

David

I had similar issues though it seemed to be caused by having multiple projects open in Pinegrow at one time. Could that have been your issue too?

Unfortunately the bug report has never even been acknowledged - either on that forum post or via the direct mail i sent to support. Am feeling that Pinegrow (for me) is way too buggy and way too unsupported to be a viable app to progress with.

We check every incident report, and when we can reproduce an issue we fix it quickly. In this case, since we didn’t have specific details about how it was being used at the time, we tried repeatedly to open, close, and reopen this template and other templates under normal usage, but we couldn’t reproduce the problem.

@oddballs yes, we did receive your report to support two days ago and it has been added to the queue for processing.

And about the “too unsupported” comment, I think our release notes page shows Pinegrow does get regular updates, both minor and major. Some of those updates even happen quietly in the background. Archives: Release Notes | Pinegrow Web Editor

Acknowledging bug reports would be useful. I raised the multiple windows one about a month ago and it just sat there - even after asking a direct question about whether that was the place to raise such reports.

The app receives regular updates - I am not disputing that. There are a lot of bugs though and it is invisible to user which of these are being addressed and which have been fixed as the Release notes give zero information on this.

which of these are being addressed and which have been fixed as the Release notes give zero information on this.

It’s a choice we make not to publish the detailed list of fixes, and we own that, especially since many of the fixes come from our own discoveries and were never reported.

As for the rest, I think that from one version to the next we satisfy the vast majority of users who report problems to us (and actually, most of the time we let people know via support that the issues have been fixed), but of course there can still be cases that take longer to investigate or reproduce.
