I’ve been playing with this for days and I’ve been thru all the tutorials forward and backward… it’s just starting to seem more and more like this “feature set” of PG is nothing more than a glorified copy / paste operation.
once you use it, there only seem to be two choices:

leave it connected to the definition and be unable to customize it (locked out)

make it editable so you can customize each instance how you see fit, but lose that if you happen to need to “update” anything (overwritten).
somebody talk me down…
i’ve already wasted an enormous amount of time trying to untangle how this works – and as far as i can tell, it DOESN’T.
at least not the way i would find to be value added.
