Confusing/Broken UX in Flexible Mode Inspector Panels

Here I have selected what is usually used for code ( </> ) and yet it is showing ‘ACTIONS’.

Here I have selected the ‘ACTIONS’ button and I think this is the correct data, but notice that it includes COMPONENTS whereas the previous ACTIONS panel didn’t.

Here I have a DUPLICATE ‘code’ button? ( </> ) but this one is correctly showing code for the selected element on the design screen.

Bug: There is inconsistency and confusion or duplication of button images that confused the UX.

Hello.

  1. Please don’t use the panel that displays with icon </> showing Astro actions. It was an internal experiment, and will be updated/removed in the next release.

  2. Actions panel was renamed to Components from pg8.5 onwards - Pinegrow Web Editor 8.6x - October 28, 2025 | Pinegrow Web Editor>-components

3. This is the correct element code editor panel.

You can remove it from the sidebar.

Window → Show / Hide Panel → Astro

Or right click on the panel icon

Hi.

Why does the ‘astro’ have the same icon as ‘code’ window? Glad it will be removed. That will help avoid confusion.

The ‘actions’ panel may be been renamed in the documentation, but the first thing you read on that panel is

“ACTIONS FOR”

So from a UX point of view, it reads like it’s the “ACTIONS” panel. Perhaps this needs more thought?

As @TechAkayy answered, this is an internal experiment (that we “forgot” to remove before the release), and will be updated/removed in the next release.
