Yeah… I no sooner published using an id rather than class and they’re thinking of adding another element I bet will need to disappear on moblie devices - - so I changed it back to class.
hee hee hee…yep sods law!
if your designing for someone else, every great idea you have…
will spawn tenfold new ones in their head!
so you use classes
and have delineated end goals…with deliverables… so that they cant keep on with constant
… Mission Creep
and you will never end the project…ever…ever everevrverrevrvevrveverevre
If you don’t have those in place.
do them.
now…
Until they (they being a NPO so I’m volunteering my time) sign off on the design as the final deliverable, I’m sticking with in-lines so I can alter particulars without affecting the entire site. Then I’m hitting the bars (pubs).
at which point…you have to go back through your entire code base
Create class names…and move it all to an externally linked style sheet.
Edit out all the styling content from each and every styled element and… well you get the general idea.
heading for a world of pain - although …
Pinegrow make this EASIER
or leave them with a pile of inline styles.
some web developer wont be sending you a xmas card some way down the line…
But I’m with you on the celebration/bar thing
