After I updated Pinegrow to version 9, it keeps closing on its own.
I still don’t know why; I’ve tried disabling some settings (like auto-save and auto-format), but nothing works.
It’s closing suddenly; there’s no pattern.
I can record what’s happening, but there’s nothing specific I can do to make it close on its own…
I discovered that by removing the auto-reload, it stopped closing on its own.
I’m not using another editing program at the same time, but I am using Dropbox. I imagine it must be giving an error when Dropbox saves the file to the cloud… something like that…
I am also using Dropbox, but haven’t had 9.* crash on me. I’m on a Mac.

Since this is an unprecedented issue (meaning we havent had any other reports like this), the best way for the Pinegrow team to determine the source of your problem is a detailed, back-and-forth investigation, which doesnt work well in a forum discussion.
Please contact the support email so we can look into it together
I can’t reliably replicate this either but Pinegrow 9.1 (on m3 macbook running macOS 26.4.1) has completely closed on me probably a dozen times over numerous projects in the last day or so. I have been using the app a lot more than i usually do and so hadn’t seen these issues before.
At least a couple of times the crash seems to have happened after editing CSS directly in my custom.css file, saving those changes and then clicking back onto the main project pane. Though as I say, this isn’t completely reproducible.
It is having a significant impact on my work.
