Pinegrow Offspring -- Pine Seedling -- Designer App Coming?

@Pinegrow_User , youtube comments from years ago are not promises. I appreciate Matjaz sharing his ideas as a reply instead of not engaging in a convo raising expectations until the ideas go through incubation, feasibility, and further journey to public announcement and officially released.

I personally do have lot of ideas not just for Pinegrow but beyond Pinegrow on numerous other things and engage in active convos online, sharing them, learning from others, and sometimes buy domain names (piling up) with lot of excitement… but this doesn’t mean I’m promising the world something and be held accountable for a fresh idea and my previous work/project get mocked upon comparing it with other products.

I’m an iPhone user and won’t settle for an Android phone, but I completely respect someone’s personal choice if someone is using an Android phone. Same if I’m a dog person and someone is a cat person.

Tools, workflows, frameworks, all these can be very personal choices, and in a world full of locking users with proprietary file formats for web apps, complex abstractions promising to be user-friendly, Pinegrow has been a no lock-in tool from day-one. There is no tool that will satisfy everyone’s needs and there is always going to be deltas which will be very different to each of us. Pinegrow has been a no lock-in tool where you can enhance your productivity visually but still have the freedom to externally do the heavy-lifting.

Especially, some of our offerings like Tailwind, Interactions & Vue integrations/app across platforms including the web (wp/pinegrow online) is unparalleled in my personal opinion. I understand your passion at the start, but I don’t see this thread being productive, is definitely not helping the community nor the Pinegrow team in anyway. In fact, there are discourse communities where links to other tools get censored or banned. But our community forum is very open & supportive, and it deserves to grow and help with productive feedback. Our team are working on numerous features and we are progressing nicely over time, some might get dropped, but community feedback are accommodated and worked on constantly.

We don’t have a public roadmap simply because if an item in the roadmap is dropped or delayed for various reasons, then such items can end-up like this thread.

Let’s keep it friendly, helpful & classy!

@Pinegrow_User it’s ok, no need to worry about us. It’s ok if some ideas are left unrealized. It’s ok if droves of designers are not flooding our forum. Nobody can do everything and the world is big enough for many different solutions. We are happy with what we do. Some people find Pinegrow useful, others look elsewhere. There is nothing more to it. Relax

Interesting.

I merely responded to what Matjaz expressed when he provided a definitive conclusive update. He didn’t offer that these advancements would enable reaching a further end goal, instead he expressed the end goal was closely reached within this ideal.

People here seem to oddly misconstrue my intentions all together, I can’t help but assume that culture, geography and language differences seem to play a role in the textual context of the forum where other perceivable communication nuances are void. Differences in peoples sense of humor likewise seem to play role. Though this forum certainly seems to be an anomaly in many regards. The responses towards me using words like “mad”, “relax”, “worry” demonstrate the failure to understand what was being said and instead injecting emotions that are not present in intention or context within my post.

So it’s interesting the responses were aimed directly towards me as a person, as I didn’t attack anyone personally? Though I understand Pinegrow themselves do not really prefer direct constructive criticism, they never have from what I have witnessed or experienced. Sadly Matjaz chose to prove this once again with his follow-up. In this regard, I understand by me having a direct persuasive creative way of writing, that at times it yields various emotions from others. Especially when others make assumptions and choose to add unrelated intention beyond my own. Again this may largely stem from aspects of culture, geography, language, humor. Or just stedfast alliances towards something that enables a derived outcome for some. I appreciate and respect the passion shown regardless.

At the end of the day it’s only ever about Pinegrow and its products along with available public data that can be consumed by anyone regarding Pinegrow and the industry as a whole. There is no personal attach towards any of those within Pinegrow or an ill will agenda towards them or the success of their efforts as individuals or as a company. To see, understand and glean what is happening all around us is imperative to development and business, things don’t happen in a vacuum and competition is ever present.

I posted in three threads in a single day for 2024, likewise three threads in 2023 and one thread in 2022. Seven threads across 3 years. Perceive what you want from my shared statements, there is still merit and truth within them. I don’t come here for the purpose to hear myself think (again 7 threads in 3 years), nor do I speak if I don’t feel what I share cannot have some value. If all that is desired is praise then it seems others have that narrative covered. While constructive criticism along with everyones opinions should be valued just the same and at times have more value than praise itself so nuanced ideas, perceptions and insight can abound.

But let’s not be silly here with apologies and instead use basic common sense, if we invest in a product can we not have individualized input, offer feedback and expect a level of accountability? That seems pretty standard and pervasive across life. For instance In what language, culture and reality does “soon” translate to 7 months or 3 years? Should we not be afforded some level of accountability towards our investment and those products?

Ironically this forum uses Discourse yet the desired narrative seems counter intuitive to the ideal of that very term. Instead only a certain approved narrative is seemingly accepted, with obvious backlash from Pinegrow staff if said narrative is not adhered to. Thus suppressing customer feedback, as can be seen throughout the forum, which seems counterintuitive as a paramount business ideal. But yes indeed run your business as you see fit, regardless.
