Anywho, the boss said that SS and the internals of PG are totally different and he plans to keep it that way.

Another difference is that Pinegrow Web Editor struggles with opening certain types of web apps, for example React apps and we plan to keep this aspect as Pinegrow Snapshots territory in the future. (the way how snapshots works is very different from Pinegrow)
