Version confusion: Classic and WP

I have upgraded to v8.9 (as a licensed user) and it launches with
Pinegrow Web Editor - WP
in the window banner at the top.

I am not interested in WordPress and would prefer to exclude any functionality associated with it. The Installer did not let me choose, so I am now confused as to whether

  • there are two different downloads and I cant find the right one
  • WP is an add-on that can be chosen/added/removed during installation or after
  • WP is built-in to the program and I have misunderstood entorely

help appreciated

Pinegrow’s setup stays the same (what you call “downloads”). I mean there is no different setup no matter which options you choose.

Your license controls which features/add-ons you picked when you bought it (or that you added over time as your needs required).

For perpetual licenses (one-time payment), if an add-on is no longer needed and you’re about to renew updates for another year, contact support — they can remove the add-on so you can renew at a better price.
