What version of WP should I use

For local Pinegrow WP theme development? I looked everywhere but couldn’t find an answer. thanks!!

@billiemead I always try to work with the most recent version (5.7.1 at the moment). Plug-in developers should be keeping their plug-ins up to date to work with WP releases but might lag slightly behind. But from the point of view of working with a secure & stable version of WP I use the most recent.

Same here. I always start with the most recent version available from Download | WordPress.org

I never use alpha/beta OR older versions unless I really need to test/try something.
