While I’m not sure Pinegrow should be policing your file/folder names, adding a pound sign is not a very good practice.
Remember, browsers use special characters for certain actions. A pound sign can be interpreted as an anchor link. Therefore, when the browser hits the pound it interprets it as the end of the page load and to begin to look within the page for where to scroll to.
