Pinegrow Shortcuts not working > Solved (Dropbox related issue)

Hi,
I’ve just gone to use Pinegrow for the first time in a few days. It seemed to take longer than usual to open the startup screen and when clicking on the project shortcuts, the editor screen opens, showing the project name, but none of the pages, files, assets etc. are visible. I’ve tried quitting and restarting my Mac (macOS 15.2) without success. Only when I remove an existing project shortcut from the startup screen then click on “Open Project”, find the project in File Manager, open and close the project, will a working shortcut appear in the startup screen. Has anybody else experienced this problem?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Bruce

Hi,
Having done a little more investigation, I think the problem is due to where I’m saving my project files and an issue with Dropbox. When I create a project, I save them into a folder in Dropbox. This allows me to access the project from any device where I have Pinegrow desktop installed. I update the project on one device and the updated project is available to me on other devices. However, Dropbox seems to have changed the settings for my Pinegrow folder, where all project files are stored, making it only available online rather than available offline (available offline indicated with a green tick). If you’ve started experiencing the same problem, check the online/offline status of the projects folder, set to offline, remove the project from the startup screen, open and close the project and a new shortcut will have been created that works ok.

I hope that helps. I just wanted to make clear that the issue I was having was not Pinegrow related.

Thanks
Bruce

Thanks @BruceM

I also use Dropbox for all my sites. I went through and double checked all my client folders. Mine were good.
