I’m about to re-record Pine Poems tutorial videos for Pinegrow 9 and wonder which theme should I use. It would be helpful to know which theme most of you are using. There is no way to create a proper poll here, just post a short reply and I’ll tally it up after few hours.
I prefer the dark theme. thank you @matjaz
dark. and several more characters
I use both… helpful I know lol.
So happy with either.
Dark. And a bit of more contrast here and there would be fine, thanks ![]()
I’m using the dark theme. Thanks
I am new to Pinegrow, but dark so far. I find the same with all design apps where the choice exists, though I prefer the main OS to be light.
Dark for me - it then matches most of my other apps.
Thanks to all!
Looks like dark is the winner ![]()
Dark most times, rarely use white for any app.
I believe that most people who work (regardless of the app) use the dark theme to reduce eye strain during prolonged use. However, when it comes to tutorials, the important thing is better contrast and better text readability. So personally, I wouldn’t focus on “what you users use” but on “what is more readable and clear.”
Personally, I think the light theme is better. It’s easier to read. Also, if we consider that we humans grew up with printed paper…
P.S. I use alwais dark themes for all.
Well, us older humans
Grew up with chalk and talk, show dont tell,
In school,
so it feels like learning/being taught again.
So.. white chalk on BLACKboards ![]()
dark theme kinda takes me back ![]()
Noooo, my mind instantly goes to finger nails down a chalkboard

I’m glad those days are long gone… although you never had issues with dry and failing whiteboard markers ![]()
