From WordPress to static HTML with Pinegrow and Simply Static

Did you know that you can develop a website using the WordPress CMS but finally put it in production in a 100% static version that requires nothing more than a standard web server?

Yes, you read that right:

  • No more complex deployments
  • No more technical requirements
  • No more plugin updates on your live site
  • No more security issues
  • No more specific WordPress hosting prohibitive cost.

  • After reading this document, you will be able to publish your site in a different way.

I thought the whole point of Wordpress was that it was a CMS.
If you want a static website use Pinegrow to create it or hand code.
If it’s the themes or plugins that make WP attractive, look at themes for Bootstrap or Foundation.
Although I have used WP for a newsletter many years ago, I could never really see its attraction.
Perhaps all the baggage that WP contains makes the website look complicated if your client looks at the code.

@mxs That is a very strong opinion, though, thanks for your feedback

Web development is not an immovable monolith and luckily, everyone can implement his little recipes, his little tricks and his favorite solutions
