I see stuff on using ACF and native post custom fields, however, I’m curious if you plan on integrating things such as native custom meta boxes and native custom post meta (hard coded custom fields).
We currently avoid plugins, including ACF, and would love to make use of native custom meta box creation and native custom post meta creation based on custom page templates and custom post types.
Please let me know. I’m about to start diving in to see whether or not we can integrate this into our workflow and custom meta boxes (as well as the custom post meta we place in them) are integral to our existing workflow.

Also, just a side note, FWIW I wasn’t able to create tags for this forum thread such as post meta, custom post meta, meta boxes, etc because the ‘choose optional tags for this topic’ field only accepts existing terms.
