After updating to 8.6, everything looked great, until I started opening existing websites.
My Bootstrap customise theme fonts and font colours are not working. Tried resetting them, and nothing changes on the site. I am a little stuck now
I have reported it to support, just posting so others are aware.
Update:
I had to downgrade to the previous version of Pinegrow to get my websites back. I did get a popup that something related to node.js being a too newer version or something.
@PeteSharp@Cruachan we are looking at the issue. Are your projects using Page → Customize Bootstrap Theme in combination with the Design panel? Or just the plain Bootstrap Design panel?
@PeteSharp@Cruachan the font issue in the Design panel should be fixed now. We pushed a patch through the server so you just need to restart the Pinegrow 8.6 (not needed to reinstall it). Please try and let me know if it works ok now.
Similar issue here with Design Panel, Windows 11. Not using the “Customise Theme” Sites previously created using BS 5.3 and design panel are not displaying correctly inside pinegrow but looks ok in browser. displaying very strangely within pinegrow. Never had this issue before.
Wow. Thank you @matjaz, loaded a couple of different sites and they are back!!!
And the site yesterday I needed to push for a client review, I had quickly modified with a custom class, I was able to revert that back, with the handy dandy Find & Replace tool to strip the class out.
What’s happening is Pinegrow is erasing everything in the boostrap.css file under the folder “bootstrap_theme”. If I reload it via VS Code everything comes back and the site looks correct again. But of course as soon as you restart Pinegrow, the file gets empitied again and you’re back at square one. My quick workaround was to deactivate the design panel, now everything is back to normal. But of course that means I can’t use the design panel.
I have spoken to soon. Just loaded an older project from earlier this year, and it’s still broken. So it seems the patch is not working in every case here @matjaz
Hey @matjaz I see it handles things slightly differently now, loading the project → pages open in an unsaved state.
What I have discovered though, is if you have all your pages closed, and close the project, when you re-open the project the CSS issue is back when you open a page. What I had to do is → open a page, save and re-open the project for it to come back to normal.
Hi @PeteSharp can you please send the video recording of the issue, and if possible the project files to support@pinegrow.com so that I can investigate?
Note, the changed file indicator is due to modified CSS file, the HTML itself is not changed.
