I’m using Pinegrow on a completely maxed out Macbook (M1 Max, 64gb, 32c).
Pinegrow is painfully slow to use. Opening a project takes minutes and with each action, it takes about 2 seconds to register every click. This can’t be right.
I’m using Pinegrow version 8.3.
I’m also getting similar performance on my M1 Pro.
I tried disabling backups but this didn’t do anything.
Beyond the version number that slipped by mistake between version 8.3 and 8.5, since this feedback isn’t very common, the question is, given that you’ve been using Pinegrow for a while now, whether this behavior is new or if it’s been happening for a while or on a specific project.
This isn’t about support (which is provided through the support email), but rather to learn a bit more about your issue.

Hmmm, maybe because it was a Wednesday or something because it seems to be running ok right now. Typical as i got my work done pretty much blind. I’ll keep my eye open as it was weird that it was sluggish on BOTH my machines
Ahhh, Wednesdays in the summer, everything is always tough
