Zip file project backups

I tried sending this in to support as a feature request, but never received the usual automated reply or any response after, so perhaps it never arrived.

I was working on a large website of around 100 pages in Pinegrow and discovered by chance that Mr Pinecone had somehow deleted all the content from perhaps half the pages… Fortunately, I had been saving regularly and manually making zipped backups, so I only lost about half an hour of work.

I know we have the _pgbackup, but for cases like this I think it would be very useful if Pinegrow could auto generate a regular Zip file copy with time and date of the entire project stored in a user selected location.

Suggestion noted, though I can’t guarantee it’ll be added.

If I may, Pinegrow’s new project revisions feature is incredibly useful, especially if you’re using AI in general.

You could also consider a workflow that includes GIT to track and manage the different revisions of your work.

Thanks @Emmanuel, I haven’t tried that yet, but I shall give it a go. I still think there would be value in creating those backups, because we cannot always know when something went wrong if it is not immediately visible.

I would have to do some research on how to create a workflow with GIT. I am fairly new to Pinegrow.
